This policy sets out how we will use and share the information that you give us. This policy describes your relationship with Little Blue Research Ltd. We will only use your personal information to administer your details as a website user, potential customer or subcontractor/sub-contractor/customer to provide the products and services you have requested from us. We will never sell, share or use your personal information other than as described within this policy or individual contracts.

Little Blue Research is a consultancy. This policy applies to website users, prospective customers and subcontractors, customers, sub-contractors, suppliers, those undertaking training sessions, presentations or interviews and surveys as part of consultancy projects and those in contact in any other capacity with Little Blue Research.

  • in circumstances where you attend a training/presentation session that is recorded will will share this recording and may share a summary of anonymised registration information, chat box contents and/or poll results with all attendees, conference organisers and presenters as needed to (i) run the training session (ii) report on it to the conference organiser, (iii) in accordance with our legitimate interests; and

  • in circumstances where you meet/contact us during conferences or connect via social media platforms we may use the information to connect via LinkedIn, meet for coffee, or a request to join a future newsletter, or add you to Little Blue Research’s CRM in accordance with our legitimate interests.

    future newsletter, or add you to Little Blue Research’s Customer Relationship Management system in accordance with our legitimate interests;

  • in accordance with our legitimate interests in protecting LBR's legitimate business interests
    and legal rights, including but not limited to, use in connection with legal claims, compliance,
    regulatory and investigative purposes (including disclosure of such information in connection
    with legal process or litigation);

    with our legitimate interests including to investigate any complaints received from you or
    from others, about our services;

We may collect and process personal data about you when (a) you wish to be considered or provide subcontractor services, become an intern or supplier. The personal data we may process includes but it is not limited to:

  • your biography and CV and where you are featured on our website your photograph

  • link to your social media profiles as needed;

  • your payment details, including billing addresses, to allow us to pay you;

3. With whom and where will we share your personal data?


We may share your personal data with our subcontractors to process it for the purposes of administration e.g. to organise a meeting, invoicing, etc.


We may also share your personal data with the below third parties:

  • our professional advisors such as our auditors and external legal and financial advisors;

  • our suppliers, business partners, presenters of joint training sessions/presentations, conference organisers and sub-contractors;

  • search engine and web analytics;

  • other providers of services to us including, website hosting, IT management, third party applications to store and transfer project data.

Personal data may be shared with government authorities and/or law enforcement officials if required for the purposes above, if mandated by law or if needed for the legal protection of our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable laws. Personal data may also be shared with third party service providers who will process it on behalf of Little Blue Research for the purposes above. Such third parties include, but are not limited to, providers of website hosting, maintenance, call centre operation and identity checking credit and risk assessment and management, identification and fraud prevention, debt collection and returning assets to you.
 

Your data is not shared with/sold to any other third parties for marketing purposes or for any reasons other than as described here or for legitimate business interest without your prior consent. In order to protect your data, we ensure that all third parties used are also in compliance with EU GDPR regulations.
 

In the event that our business or any part of it is sold or integrated with another business, your details will be disclosed to our advisers and those of any prospective purchaser and will be passed to the new owners of the business.

4. How long will you keep my personal data?


We will not keep your personal information for any purpose for longer than is necessary and will only retain the personal information that is necessary in relation to the purpose. We are also required to retain certain information as required by law or for as long as is reasonably necessary to meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms and conditions.
 

Where you are a prospective customer/web site contact and you have sent an online query, met us at a conference, we will only retain your data (a) while you interact with us and our content; or (b) for 36 months from when you last interacted with us or our content.
 

Where you are a customer, we will keep your information for the length of any contractual relationship you have with us and according to relevant legal requirements.


Where you are a subcontractor/supplier, we will keep your information for the length of any contractual relationship you have with us and according to relevant legal requirements.
 

We may retain your data for a short time beyond the specified retention period, to allow for information to be reviewed and any deletion to take place. In some instances, laws may require Little Blue Research to hold certain information for specific periods other than those listed above.

 

5. Where is my data stored?


The personal data that we collect from you is stored on Little Blue Research Ltd.’s computer systems.
 

6. Our obligations


We are a data controller. In relation to the information that you provide to us, we are legally responsible for how that information is handled. We will comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the GDPR (2018) in the way we use and share your personal data. Among other things, this means that we will only use your personal data:
